The name “MyWebExt” traces its origins to a code snippet found on a 3.5-inch floppy disk containing source code with a timestamp dating back to 1993. Among the founder’s earliest original works, MyWebExt was first used as a simple variable name—short for “My Web Extension.” Although the term itself was unremarkable, it marked the beginning of the founder’s early development work, and the name endured. It represented personal ownership of web-accessible creations without prescribing any specific meaning or purpose.
Today, MyWebExt is dedicated to its founder, Kenneth Poston, and serves as a central hub for cumulative projects and areas of ongoing interest. These include genealogy and genetics, secure software distribution models, deterministic validation workflows, and infrastructure-level development projects that emphasize integrity, reliability, and long-term stability.
