About Mywebext Services LLC

Mywebext Services LLC was formally established in 2015 as a technology firm specializing in custom software engineering, server integrations, web development and graphic design. Originally founded by Kenneth Poston, the company was built on a long-standing interest in software architecture, security, and systems design.

While the company itself began in 2015, the name Mywebext had been in the making for much longer.

The term “Mywebext” originated sometime in 1993 based on a timestamp pulled from an early Visual Basic 3 programming project pulled off a 3.5 floppy disk. At the time, Kenneth was experimenting with a Microsoft chat OCX component and wrote a small extension module labeled “MyWebExt” — short for “My Web Extension.” The snippet itself was simple, but the name stuck. It represented the idea of extending functionality beyond default limitations — building layers, enhancing capability, and taking ownership of the tools being used.

Though that early project never matured into a commercial product, the name continued to appear in later source and private development efforts over the years. It gradually evolved from a simple label into a broader concept: creating structured extensions around existing systems to improve reliability, usability, and control.

When Mywebext Services LLC was officially formed, the name carried that same philosophy forward — extending, refining, and strengthening digital systems with deliberate engineering.

Today, Mywebext focuses on secure software distribution models, deterministic validation workflows, and infrastructure-level development projects that emphasize integrity and long-term stability.

The name reflects both its origins and its direction: thoughtful extensions between the web and public domain.
