Terms of Service
Effective Date: August 13, 2025
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of websites, applications, software, products, services, and other offerings operated by Mywebext Services LLC (“Mywebext,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing, browsing, registering with, submitting information to, purchasing from, or otherwise using a Mywebext website or service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the applicable website or service.
Individual Mywebext websites, applications, products, or services may contain additional terms, agreements, disclosures, or requirements. Those provisions supplement these Terms and apply to the applicable service.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
Your use of any Mywebext website or service constitutes your acceptance of these Terms.
Acceptance may occur through:
- Visiting or using a Mywebext website;
- Creating an account;
- Submitting a form;
- Requesting a service;
- Purchasing a product or service;
- Uploading or submitting content;
- Participating in a Mywebext service;
- Communicating with Mywebext regarding a service; or
- Otherwise engaging Mywebext in a business or service relationship.
Continuing Agreement
These Terms constitute an ongoing agreement between you and Mywebext Services LLC for as long as you continue to use applicable Mywebext websites or services.
Your continued use of Mywebext websites or services constitutes your continuing agreement to the Terms then in effect.
2. Changes to These Terms and the Privacy Policy
Mywebext Services LLC reserves the right to modify, amend, supplement, replace, or otherwise update these Terms of Service and the Mywebext Services LLC Privacy Policy at any time.
Updated versions will be published on the applicable Mywebext website.
Mywebext is not required to provide individual, written, mailed, emailed, or other direct notification of every change, unless such notification is required by applicable law or expressly required by a separate written agreement.
Users are responsible for periodically reviewing the current Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Unless otherwise stated in the revised document, changes become effective when posted or on the effective date stated in the revised document.
Continued access to or use of Mywebext websites, services, products, or other offerings after an updated version becomes effective constitutes the user’s acknowledgment and acceptance of the revised Terms to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
The same principle applies to the Mywebext Services LLC Privacy Policy. Users are responsible for reviewing the current Privacy Policy to remain informed about how information may be collected, used, disclosed, retained, and otherwise processed.
Where applicable law requires a particular form of notice, affirmative consent, or other procedure before a change may become effective, Mywebext Services LLC will comply with that requirement.
A revision to these documents will not be interpreted as retroactively eliminating a right or protection that cannot legally be modified or waived.
3. Service-Specific Terms
Because Mywebext Services LLC operates multiple websites and provides different types of services, a particular website or service may contain additional terms.
Service-specific terms may address:
- Genealogy and heritage research;
- Unclaimed-property research;
- Asset recovery;
- Web design;
- Software development;
- Computer programming;
- Consulting;
- E-commerce;
- Marketplace transactions;
- Forums or community services;
- Live broadcasts;
- Digital products;
- Research services; and
- Other specialized services.
Where a separate written agreement or service-specific agreement exists, that agreement may supplement or supersede these Terms with respect to the specific subject matter covered by that agreement.
4. Description of Services
Mywebext provides technology, research, software, web development, design, consulting, e-commerce, and other services.
Services may be offered free of charge, for a fee, through subscription arrangements, through third-party platforms, or through other commercial arrangements.
Mywebext may modify, discontinue, suspend, replace, or expand services at any time.
We do not guarantee that any particular service will remain available indefinitely.
5. Proactive Outreach and Potential Opportunities
Mywebext may proactively identify individuals or organizations that may potentially benefit from a Mywebext service.
This may include, without limitation:
- Potential unclaimed-property recipients;
- Individuals associated with public records;
- Potential research subjects;
- Prospective customers;
- Businesses that may benefit from technology services; or
- Other individuals or organizations that Mywebext reasonably believes may have an interest in a service.
Mywebext may initiate contact through lawful means, which may include postal mail, email, telephone, or other communication methods.
An unsolicited communication claiming to originate from Mywebext should not, by itself, be treated as proof of authenticity.
For the protection of recipients, Mywebext encourages recipients of communications to independently verify the communication through the official Mywebext website.
Mywebext may provide a reference number, verification code, or other mechanism that allows a recipient to confirm that a communication originated from Mywebext.
6. Verification of Mywebext Communications
Recipients of communications concerning potential services, property, research, or other matters should independently verify the communication before providing sensitive information.
To verify a communication:
- Independently access the official Mywebext website.
- Use contact information published on that website.
- Follow the official verification procedure provided by Mywebext.
- Where provided, use the reference number, extension or verification code associated with the communication.
Recipients should not rely solely upon telephone numbers, email addresses, web links, QR codes, social-media accounts, or other contact information contained within an unsolicited communication.
Sensitive Information
Until a communication has been independently verified, recipients should not provide:
- Social Security numbers;
- Government identification numbers;
- Financial account information;
- Payment credentials;
- Passwords;
- Authentication codes;
- Copies of identification documents; or
- Other highly sensitive personal information.
Mywebext may legitimately request certain sensitive information when a user has initiated or verified a service requiring such information.
Instructions for submitting such information will be provided through an appropriate Mywebext website or authorized process.
Mywebext will not intentionally request Social Security numbers, passwords, payment credentials, or similarly sensitive information through a public forum, public livestream, social-media comment, or other publicly visible communication.
7. User Responsibility
You are responsible for information, instructions, materials, files, credentials, content, and other information you provide to Mywebext.
You represent that information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to provide any materials submitted to us.
You agree not to knowingly provide:
- False or fraudulent information;
- Stolen information;
- Malicious software;
- Unauthorized credentials;
- Material that infringes another person’s rights;
- Material that violates applicable law;
- Personal information that you are not authorized to provide; or
- Content intended to compromise or damage our systems or those of another person.
8. User-Generated Content
Certain Mywebext websites may permit users to submit posts, comments, photographs, files, messages, ideas, documents, or other material.
Users are responsible for the content they submit.
You agree not to submit content that:
- Violates applicable law;
- Infringes intellectual-property rights;
- Reveals another person’s confidential or private information without authorization;
- Contains malicious code;
- Threatens or harasses others;
- Is fraudulent or intentionally deceptive;
- Impersonates another person;
- Violates applicable platform rules; or
- Otherwise creates an unreasonable legal or operational risk for Mywebext.
Mywebext does not guarantee that all user-generated content will be reviewed, monitored, or discovered immediately.
Because user-generated content may be submitted at any time, Mywebext cannot guarantee continuous or instantaneous monitoring.
If you become aware of content that may violate these Terms or applicable law, you should report it through the reporting mechanism provided by the applicable website.
Once Mywebext becomes aware of potentially problematic content, we may investigate and take reasonable action, which may include removing, restricting, preserving, or otherwise addressing the content.
9. Customer-Provided Materials
Customers may provide photographs, artwork, documents, text, logos, graphics, videos, audio, software, data, designs, or other materials for use in connection with a requested service.
You represent and warrant that you:
- Own the material or have sufficient rights to provide it;
- Have authority to authorize Mywebext to use it for the requested service; and
- Are not knowingly violating another person’s rights by providing it.
You grant Mywebext a non-exclusive license to reproduce, modify, adapt, display, transmit, store, and otherwise use customer-provided materials as reasonably necessary to provide the requested service.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, this license includes the right to make technical modifications, format changes, backups, copies, and other adaptations reasonably necessary to complete the requested work.
Nothing in this provision automatically transfers ownership of a customer’s pre-existing intellectual property to Mywebext.
10. Submitted Ideas, Suggestions, and Feedback
Users may submit ideas, suggestions, recommendations, concepts, feature requests, proposals, comments, or other feedback.
Unless a separate written agreement expressly provides otherwise, submission of an idea or suggestion does not create an obligation for Mywebext to:
- Keep the idea confidential;
- Compensate the submitter;
- Credit the submitter;
- Refrain from independently developing similar concepts; or
- Refrain from using the suggestion.
To the extent permitted by law, Mywebext may use, develop, modify, incorporate, or otherwise utilize ideas, suggestions, feedback, concepts, or feature requests submitted without a separate written agreement restricting such use.
11. Mywebext Intellectual Property
Unless expressly stated otherwise in a written agreement, Mywebext retains ownership of its pre-existing and independently developed intellectual property.
This may include:
- Software;
- Source code;
- Frameworks;
- Libraries;
- Scripts;
- Plugins;
- Templates;
- Designs;
- Graphics;
- Logos;
- Documentation;
- Development methods;
- Technical processes;
- Databases;
- Business systems;
- Tools;
- Concepts;
- Know-how; and
- Other proprietary materials.
Payment for a service does not automatically transfer ownership of Mywebext’s pre-existing intellectual property.
A customer may receive a license or other rights to completed work when expressly provided by a written agreement, invoice, project agreement, or applicable service terms.
12. Custom Web Design and Programming
Custom development services may involve third-party software, open-source software, APIs, hosting services, plugins, frameworks, libraries, platforms, and other components.
Mywebext cannot guarantee that third-party components will remain available, compatible, secure, or unchanged.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, customers are responsible for maintaining ownership, licensing rights, credentials, subscriptions, and accounts associated with third-party services they require.
Custom development may require continuing maintenance, updates, security work, compatibility changes, or other services after initial completion.
13. Research and Information Services
Research services may rely upon public records, government databases, third-party sources, historical records, user-provided information, and other available information.
Mywebext does not guarantee that:
- Every relevant record will be located;
- Every record is accurate;
- Records remain available;
- Historical information is complete;
- A particular person or property will be identified;
- Property will be recovered; or
- A government agency or third party will approve a claim.
Research results should not be interpreted as a guarantee of recovery, legal entitlement, or governmental approval.
14. Unclaimed-Property and Asset Research
Mywebext may provide preliminary searches for potentially unclaimed property.
A search result indicating potential property does not necessarily establish legal ownership or guarantee that funds can be recovered.
Government agencies and other entities may require additional documentation, identification, authorization, or verification.
Mywebext does not control the requirements, decisions, processing times, or procedures of government agencies or third-party property holders.
Where Mywebext assists an individual with an unclaimed-property claim, additional information may be requested when reasonably necessary to verify identity, establish entitlement, or complete the claim.
Sensitive information will be requested through an appropriate secure process when required.
Service-specific websites may provide additional terms concerning these services.
15. Experimental and Emerging Technology
Some Mywebext projects may involve new, customized, experimental, developing, or emerging technologies.
You acknowledge that technological development can involve unforeseen circumstances, including:
- Software defects;
- Compatibility problems;
- Security vulnerabilities;
- Performance problems;
- Changes to third-party platforms;
- Changes to operating systems or browsers;
- Hardware limitations;
- Unexpected interactions between systems;
- Previously unknown technical limitations;
- Changes in technology standards;
- Data-format changes; and
- Other problems that may not reasonably be discoverable before deployment.
Mywebext will make reasonable efforts to investigate and address problems brought to our attention.
The existence of an unforeseen technical problem does not, by itself, constitute a failure to provide services or a breach of these Terms.
16. Notice and Opportunity to Correct Problems
If you believe that Mywebext has made an error, provided defective work, experienced a technical problem, or otherwise failed to meet an applicable obligation, you agree to provide written notice describing the issue before initiating a formal dispute, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
The notice should contain sufficient information to allow Mywebext to understand and investigate the issue.
Mywebext will be given a reasonable opportunity to:
- Investigate the matter;
- Determine whether an error or deficiency exists;
- Correct the problem where reasonably possible;
- Provide an appropriate remedy where warranted; or
- Explain why the alleged problem does not constitute an error or breach.
The amount of time reasonably required to address an issue may depend upon its severity, complexity, availability of necessary information, involvement of third-party systems, and other circumstances.
Critical security, safety, legal, or service-disruption issues may require different handling from ordinary technical or cosmetic issues.
17. Free Services
Some Mywebext services may be provided without charge.
Free services may be changed, suspended, limited, or discontinued at any time unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The absence of a charge does not create a guarantee of unlimited availability, response time, or continued service.
18. Paid Services
Fees for paid services will be communicated through the applicable website, quotation, invoice, checkout system, written agreement, or other accepted commercial arrangement.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate billing information and paying applicable charges.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, fees are for the specific service or product described at the time of purchase.
19. Refunds and Cancellations
Refund and cancellation terms may vary depending upon the particular product or service.
Where a separate refund or cancellation policy applies, that policy governs the applicable transaction.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to eliminate any refund, cancellation, warranty, or consumer protection right that cannot legally be waived.
20. E-Commerce and Third-Party Marketplaces
Mywebext may sell products through its own websites or third-party marketplaces.
Transactions conducted through third-party platforms may also be governed by those platforms’ terms, policies, warranties, payment procedures, and dispute-resolution systems.
Mywebext is not responsible for technical failures or policy changes imposed by third-party platforms.
21. Third-Party Services
Mywebext may depend upon third-party services, including:
- Hosting providers;
- Payment processors;
- Cloud services;
- Domain providers;
- Software platforms;
- APIs;
- Marketplaces;
- Social-media platforms;
- Shipping providers;
- Analytics services; and
- Other external providers.
Mywebext cannot guarantee the continued availability, security, compatibility, pricing, or functionality of third-party services.
A third-party service failure may affect a Mywebext service even when Mywebext has acted reasonably.
22. Live Broadcasts and Public Participation
Some services may involve voluntary participation in public broadcasts, demonstrations, forums, or other public communications.
Where a service requires separate consent concerning public disclosure, that consent will apply according to its terms.
Users remain responsible for information they voluntarily disclose publicly.
Mywebext will not intentionally disclose Social Security numbers, passwords, payment-card information, or similar highly sensitive authentication information through public broadcasts.
Additional service-specific rules may apply.
23. Website Availability
Mywebext does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of its websites.
Websites may become temporarily unavailable because of:
- Maintenance;
- Security issues;
- Hosting failures;
- Software updates;
- Network problems;
- Cybersecurity incidents;
- Third-party failures;
- Hardware failures;
- Power outages;
- Natural disasters; or
- Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
24. Security Issues
If you discover a potential security vulnerability involving a Mywebext website or service, you should notify Mywebext promptly through the designated contact method.
You agree not to exploit a vulnerability, access information without authorization, intentionally damage systems, or use a security issue to gain unauthorized access.
Mywebext will make reasonable efforts to investigate legitimate security reports.
The time required to address a security issue may depend upon its severity and technical complexity.
25. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use Mywebext websites or services to:
- Violate applicable law;
- Commit fraud;
- Infringe intellectual-property rights;
- Distribute malware;
- Attempt unauthorized access;
- Interfere with website operations;
- Harvest information without authorization;
- Impersonate another person;
- Abuse automated systems;
- Circumvent security measures;
- Submit intentionally false information;
- Harass other users; or
- Engage in activity that creates unreasonable risk to Mywebext, its users, or third parties.
26. Suspension and Termination
Mywebext may suspend or terminate access to a website or service when reasonably necessary to:
- Protect systems;
- Prevent abuse;
- Address security issues;
- Investigate fraud;
- Enforce these Terms;
- Comply with law;
- Protect other users; or
- Protect Mywebext’s legitimate business interests.
Termination does not eliminate obligations that by their nature should survive termination.
27. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, websites and services are provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis.
Mywebext does not guarantee that:
- Services will always be available;
- Websites will always be error-free;
- Information will always be complete or accurate;
- Software will be free of defects;
- Third-party services will remain available;
- Research will produce a particular result; or
- A particular business or financial outcome will occur.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or legal protection that cannot lawfully be excluded.
28. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mywebext Services LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to use of our websites or services.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Mywebext’s total liability arising from a particular service or transaction shall not exceed the amount actually paid by the customer to Mywebext for that particular service during the applicable period giving rise to the claim.
This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law.
29. Force Majeure
Mywebext shall not be responsible for delay or failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Such circumstances may include:
- Natural disasters;
- War;
- Government action;
- Labor disruptions;
- Internet failures;
- Telecommunications failures;
- Power failures;
- Cybersecurity incidents;
- Hosting failures;
- Third-party service failures;
- Software-platform changes;
- Hardware failures; or
- Other circumstances beyond reasonable control.
30. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Mywebext Services LLC and its owners, contractors, agents, and service providers from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses arising from:
- Your violation of these Terms;
- Your unlawful conduct;
- Materials you submit without having appropriate rights;
- Your infringement of another person’s rights;
- Your misuse of our websites or services; or
- Your violation of applicable law.
This provision does not require indemnification to the extent prohibited by applicable law.
31. Mandatory Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
Agreement to Arbitrate
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you and Mywebext Services LLC agree that disputes arising from or relating to these Terms, the websites, products, services, transactions, communications, or business relationship will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than litigation in court.
Your agreement to these Terms constitutes your agreement to this arbitration provision.
Required Notice and Opportunity to Resolve
Before initiating arbitration, the complaining party must provide written notice describing the dispute and allow Mywebext a reasonable opportunity to investigate and attempt to resolve the matter.
This requirement is intended to provide both parties an opportunity to identify legitimate errors, correct problems where appropriate, and reach a reasonable resolution without unnecessary expense.
Binding Arbitration
If the dispute cannot be resolved through good-faith efforts, the dispute shall proceed to binding arbitration before a mutually agreed arbitrator or through an appropriate arbitration organization where necessary.
The arbitrator shall have authority to consider evidence, determine responsibility, and award remedies permitted by applicable law and the applicable arbitration agreement.
No Unnecessary Litigation
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the parties agree that disputes subject to this arbitration provision shall not be pursued through ordinary court litigation.
Nothing in this section prevents a party from seeking temporary or emergency judicial relief when such relief is necessary to protect intellectual property, confidential information, computer systems, security, or other rights for which immediate judicial protection is legally available.
Legal Limitations
This arbitration provision does not waive or restrict rights that cannot legally be waived.
Certain claims or proceedings may be subject to mandatory legal requirements that cannot be altered by private agreement.
Where applicable law requires a particular procedure, location, disclosure, or opt-out right for an arbitration agreement to be enforceable, that requirement will apply.
32. Class and Representative Proceedings
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, disputes subject to arbitration shall be resolved on an individual basis.
The parties agree not to combine individual disputes or participate in class, collective, or representative proceedings except where applicable law prohibits such a waiver.
33. Intellectual Property Protection
Nothing in these Terms prevents Mywebext from seeking appropriate legal protection for its intellectual property, confidential information, proprietary software, trade secrets, systems, or other legally protected interests.
Mywebext may seek temporary or emergency relief when legally available and reasonably necessary to prevent immediate harm.
34. Written Agreements
Mywebext and a customer may enter into separate written agreements governing a particular project, service, product, or business relationship.
Where a written agreement expressly addresses a subject differently from these Terms, the specific written agreement will control with respect to that subject.
For purposes of this provision, a written agreement may include an electronically accepted agreement where legally valid.
35. Electronic Communications
You consent to receive communications electronically where permitted by law.
Electronic communications may include:
- Email;
- Website notices;
- Electronic invoices;
- Service notifications;
- Account notifications;
- Transaction confirmations; and
- Other electronic communications.
Electronic records may be used to establish the existence and content of communications or agreements where legally permitted.
36. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
The invalid provision shall be modified or limited to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable where legally permitted.
37. Waiver
Failure by Mywebext to enforce a provision of these Terms does not constitute a permanent waiver of that provision or of Mywebext’s right to enforce it later.
38. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with applicable service-specific terms, written agreements, policies, and other agreements expressly incorporated into them, constitute the applicable agreement between you and Mywebext concerning the subject matter addressed by those documents.
39. Changes to Services
Mywebext Services LLC reserves the right to modify, replace, suspend, or discontinue websites, services, features, products, or portions thereof.
Mywebext may make such changes at any time as reasonably determined necessary for business, technical, security, legal, or operational purposes.
40. Governing Law
These Terms shall be interpreted and applied according to applicable law.
Where a particular service or transaction is governed by a separate written agreement containing a governing-law provision, that provision will apply to the extent legally enforceable.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive a consumer of mandatory protections provided by the law that legally applies to that consumer.

42. Acknowledgment
By using a Mywebext website or service, you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to review these Terms and agree to be bound by them to the extent permitted by applicable law.
You further acknowledge that these Terms establish a continuing business relationship governing your use of Mywebext websites and services.
43. User Experience May Vary
Mywebext websites, software, content, and services are designed to provide engaging, informative, entertaining, and interactive experiences. Individual user experiences may vary depending upon the nature of the service, user preferences, technology, circumstances, and other factors.
Features, content, presentation, functionality, availability, and user experience may change over time as Mywebext develops, updates, maintains, or modifies its services.
Certain content or interactive experiences may be particularly engaging or may cause some users to spend more time interacting with a service than anticipated. Users are responsible for exercising reasonable judgment regarding their use of Mywebext services and should take appropriate breaks or discontinue use if continued use becomes disruptive to their responsibilities or well-being.
Mywebext does not guarantee that a particular user experience will remain consistent over time, nor does Mywebext represent that its services are suitable for every individual or circumstance.
43. Contact and Communications
By voluntarily providing Mywebext Services LLC with a telephone number, email address, mailing address, social-media account, or other contact information through a Mywebext website, application, form, service, transaction, or other authorized means, you acknowledge that Mywebext may use that information to communicate with you regarding your requests, transactions, accounts, services, research, inquiries, projects, or other legitimate business matters.
Mywebext may communicate with you using the contact information you provide, including by telephone, email, postal mail, text message, or other available communication methods, subject to applicable law.
You understand that providing contact information does not necessarily constitute consent to receive every type of marketing communication. Where applicable law requires separate consent for particular communications or communication technologies, Mywebext will obtain and rely upon the applicable consent.
You may request that Mywebext discontinue particular types of communications, subject to communications that are reasonably necessary to provide a requested service, complete a transaction, address an account or security matter, satisfy a legal obligation, or otherwise comply with applicable law.
